Upcoming Fall Play
A Christmas Carol
This timeless holiday classic, adapted from Charles Dickens’ beloved novella, follows the cold-hearted Ebenezer Scrooge as he embarks on a life-changing journey through time. On Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, who warns him to change his ways before it’s too late. Throughout the night, three spirits — the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come — reveal to Scrooge the consequences of his greed and the joy he’s been missing.
Set against the backdrop of Victorian London, A Christmas Carol is a powerful story of redemption, compassion, and the true spirit of Christmas. Filled with humor, heart, and haunting imagery, this production invites audiences of all ages to rediscover the magic of generosity and the warmth of human connection.
Join us as we bring Dickens’ unforgettable characters to life — from the cheerful Cratchit family and sweet Tiny Tim to the transformed Ebenezer Scrooge himself — in a festive celebration of hope and goodwill that reminds us all that it’s never too late to change.
Actor Spotlight
Sara Smith
Sara Smith is a senior and a driving light of our theater program — a charismatic performer, creative collaborator, and tireless supporter of every backstage effort. Since joining the company as a freshman, Sara has appeared in a wide variety of roles, from comic supporting parts that steal scenes to moving dramatic turns that show her range and emotional honesty. Her warm stage presence and quick comic instincts make her a favorite among classmates and audiences alike.
Beyond acting, Sara has helped shape the program as Drama Club vice president and a mentor to younger students. She’s equally at home running warm-ups, helping design costumes, or leading a post-show talkback. Sara’s teachers praise her work ethic and generosity: she’s the student who will stay late to trouble-shoot a mic or teach a newcomer a tricky dance step — always with a smile.
Looking ahead, Sara plans to study theater and education, with the goal of teaching drama at the middle- or high-school level so she can pass along the same spark that ignited her love of the stage. When she isn’t rehearsing, you’ll find her scribbling scenes in a notebook, searching the thrift shops for vintage costume pieces, or baking an alarming number of cookies for opening night. Sara believes theater has the power to change lives — and she’s determined to keep making that change, one show at a time.
