Dive into technical theatre
Explore the world of technical theatre at Wake Forest High School. Learn about stagecraft, lighting, scenic design, and stage management. Join us behind the scenes!

Wake Forest High School offer 4 levels of Technical Theatre. Every student starts in Technical Theatre I and advances through the levels to reach Level IV, which they can take every semester as long as they are in high school.
Level I teaches the basics of every shop including, lighting and sound, cueing, hang and focus, carpentry and scene shop techniques, scenic painting and faux finishes, and prop techniques.
When students have successfully passed Technical Theatre I, they move to Technical Theatre II, III, and IV Honors to apply what they learned in Tech I to full productions at the school. The Advanced Tech, which is what levels II, III, and IV are called as a unit, build and run all of our productions on campus as well as help run all events on campus including dance, chorus, drama, band, induction ceremonies, and special events.
Students gain hands on training to learn tech from a professional point of view.
